Stupidity at its finest

You all remember the recent PS3 hold-up, when two armed men walked in an Elk Grove GameStop store and then walked out with four PS3s. This happened just one day before the big PS3 U.S. launch.

The police investigated this armed robbery, and found out that the two armed robbers might be in cahoots with two GameStop employees or they might not even exist. Now, Tauryn Robert Hodge and Gerald Anthony Keys, both aged 19, face charges of embezzlement, burglary and conspiracy.

All the aspects aren't clear yet, but the police suspects that there were no armed robbers, and that Hodge and Keys filed a fake complaint. How stupid can you get? First of all, aren't there any surveillance cameras in that GameStop store? If there were any, they would have caught the presupposed robbers on tape? stupid, stupid, stupid.

Both teens are out on bail, they probably posted bail with the money that they got selling the PS3 consoles on eBay. The stolen goods were not recovered yet and I have a feeling that the police won't find them anytime soon.

I guess GameStop should be more careful when choosing their staff. To be responsible for a couple dozen PS3s is, apparently, too much for two 19-year-olds. This news came via sacbee.com.
