14 DAY TRIAL // Hackers of the Moroccan Ghosts group have breached and defaced the official website of the Federal Ministry of Finance in Nigeria (fmf.gov.ng).
“Website hacked!! Coz you support the Algerian Front of Polisario. Dedicated to all Moroccans,” the hackers wrote on the defaced website.
At the time of writing, the website of Nigeria’s Ministry of Finance is still defaced. A mirror of the defacement is available on zone-h.org.
This isn’t the first time the Moroccan Ghosts target the government of Nigeria. Back in November, they hacked and defaced the official website of the country’s Ministry of Defense.
The attack followed Nigeria’s announcement regarding a complaint filed at the European Human Rights Court against France, Spain and Morocco over the occupation of Western Sahara. “The Sahara is Moroccan,” the hackers said at the time.
