The Mormon Bachelor has been posted on YouTube for a while, and it's now wrapping up its fourth season. Just like the Bachelor, the show documents speed dating, with the twist of having all the participants play by Mormon relationship guidelines.

Mormon men and women remain virgins until the day they marry. They cannot kiss in public, and must refrain from other public displays of affection.

"You have the physical kisses and what not but past that, not too much," the star of the show, 26-year-old virgin Chris Barbour said.

The young people that live by Mormon rules do not drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes. Dates are limited to wholesome conversations and holding hands while going for a walk, ABC News reports.

If there is no kiss at the end of the date, that is normal. It doesn't necessarily mean your date didn't find you attractive, it's that they respect you. "I don't even like to kiss on the first date," bachelor Chris Barbour said.

The show was created by Aubrey Laidlaw and Erin Elton. After finishing college at Brigham Young University, they moved to Southern California and became frustrated about the different practices on the much liberal Californian dating scene.

Believing she would never find her soul mate, Laidlaw auditioned for the Bachelor but didn't make it to the final call out. She dubs it a blessing in disguise, as she believes her values would have clashed with the trophy bachelor's.

After creating the YouTube show, she became its first bachelorette and found the man of her dreams. They married six months later and have recently become parents to a lovely baby girl.

Laidlaw wanted to clear the air about Mormon practices and reassured viewers they do not practice polygamy. In fact, they are very romantic and are looking for “eternal marriage and an eternal family."
