Morito Co Ltd, a multi-directional Japanese company, announced at the Wireless Japan Exhibition the approaching release of Audio Bone Aqua, a new and appealing type of headphones that can be connected to your mobile device or your music player.

Why is Audio Bone Aqua appealing? First of all, it is waterproof, meeting IPX7 waterproof standards, which means you can use it on basically any weather condition. Want to go out and bring your favorite music with you on a rainy day? Audio Bone Aqua lets you do this without worrying that water might harm your equipment.

The "bone" part from the headphones' name is there with a good reason: Bone Aqua does not transmit sounds through the eardrum, it does it through bone vibrations. Moreover, it does not cover your ears at all, but the bones in front of the years, transmitting the sound to the brain through bones and skin tissues.

Considering the above-mentioned features, it looks like Audio Bone Aqua can be the perfect headphones for outdoor workers, hikers, cyclists or those who like jogging.

Bone Aqua has a very nice design and will be available in four different colors. A tiny minus can be the fact that it connects only by wires to handsets or music players, but Morito is currently developing a Bluetooth edition of the headphones that can and will offer users more freedom.

A good phone to use with Audio Bone Aqua is the recently launched F704i from NTT DoCoMo. The phone is from the 3G FOMA 704i series and, like Morito's headphones, it's waterproof.

Morito will launch Audio Bone Aqua on the Japanese market in August this year. No word about availability in other countries yet, but for those interested in buying the headphones, the price is 9,980 Yen, corresponding to around $80.
