According to the results of a poll conducted by ABC News/Washington Post, between June 23 - 26 among over 1000 adult citizens, 57% of the Americans believe that their government has "intentionally exaggerated its evidence that pre-war Iraq possessed nuclear, chemical or biological weapons", and therefore the Iraq war was not worth fighting.
The
Bush administration in believed to have intentionally misled the public, according to 56% of the people questioned, while 44% of the public "strongly disapprove" the way President Bush has been handling the Iraq war.
41% of those who were surveyed urge the U.S to withdraw its troops from Iraq, while the majority still supports the American military actions to help Iraqi authorities restore order after the civil war.
U.S President George W. Bush believes "parallel with the security track is a political track. Obviously, the political track has made progress this year when 8 million people went to the polls and voted", as part of it new campaign to ease some of the anxieties about this war.
But reality shows that overall, more and more Americans say No to military recruiters.
