Windows 8 wasn’t quite the most appreciated operating system on Earth, but its market share continues to grow more than one year after the public launch that took place in October 2012.

As we were browsing the web looking for news, we came across some pretty interesting comments regarding Windows 8, which was often criticized for the lack of a Start Menu and its poor performance in certain conditions.

It turns out, however, that Windows 8 is a much more successful product these days, with many users praising its gaming performance, flat look, and the Windows Store.

Of course, many still hope that things would get a lot better in the next full Windows release, which according to some people familiar with the matter, is expected to arrive in April 2015.

Here’s a selection of the most interesting comments we’ve found in the comment section of Windows Everywhere: Devices, a Windows 8 commercial posted by Microsoft on YouTube. As always, feel free to add your own comments using the box after the jump.

“Windows 8 is actually quite better with gaming, and working, because Microsoft made Windows 8 and 8.1 that way. Also Windows 8 and above includes the Windows App store, where you can get a lot of stuff, but not as much as Android yet.” – K-joy-programer12

“There's nothing in the world as unique as the new Windows 8! Keep doing your thing Microsoft!
