Just after Google released Google Maps Street View, the Internet community started talking about the cars which were used to capture the photos. As you might know, Street View provides detailed street level panoramas so it requires a vehicle equipped with numerous cameras in order to capture photos from multiple angles. Obviously, some of the US residents managed to identify some cars used by Google in Street View and the pictures quickly appeared on the Internet. Today, Anthony Trumbo, a resident of Nashville, spotted a new Google car that might take pictures with its home city.

"From reading blogs about Google products I was aware that there was a fleet of blue Cobalts making their way around the country taking photos for use in Google's Streetview feature of Google Maps. The Cobalt doesn't appear to have moved over the past few days so I guess it is on vacation for Labor day. Currently Streetview is only available in about 7 cities, but perhaps Nashville will be soon be on the list. And if I'm not careful, I may be captured out walking Ella," Anthony Trumbo wrote on his blog.

Although it's not clear if the car is really capturing photos with Nashville, some new Google Maps Street View imagery might come soon as the Mountain View company is continuously focused on the technology.

First, it was reported that the pictures are captured by a Volkswagen Beetle which was spotted on several US cities that were then included in the Google technology. This new photo shows us a Chevrolet Cobalt, equipped with almost the same type of equipment that might represent the sign of a new set of Street View pictures.

Since Google Maps Street View was released, the Mountain View company was continuously kept in the spotlights because everybody was talking about this revolutionary function included in the mapping tool. Moreover, some of the Internet consumers criticized the giant because it shows too many details from the streets.
