Unfortunately not everything we hear about Xbox 360 is good news.

After a very good week for Microsoft, with a lot of interesting rumors about its true power and the new security features it will contain (that make it impossible to crack), which practically send an invitation to everyone capable enough to try, we have some disturbing news.

At the pre-TGS press briefing, Microsoft confirmed that the Xbox 360 will be region locked for both games and DVD movie playback, which means that the owners won't be able to play games or movies in any part of the world.

As the old Xbox was region locked too, it's no surprise they did the same for the new console.

It remains to be seen if there will be a similar move from Sony.
