The development team at Insomniac Games believes that the Ratchet & Clank franchise is still strong and that gamers appreciate the gameplay innovations that have been added to it via recent installments.

Ted Price, the chief executive officer of the studio, tells The Official PlayStation Magazine that, “I think that, speaking for the team, we all want to continue experimenting with Ratchet. From the very beginning it’s been a universe that didn’t have any rules. We felt free to continue to keep taking it in new directions and maybe that’s what we’ll do.”

Apparently, Insomniac Games has clear plans for future titles, although the company is not yet ready to offer details on them.

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault is the most recent game in the series, which is set to get a PlayStation Vita version during 2013.
