More Official Stills for 'Underworld: Awakening' Are Out

Having an actress as gorgeous as Kate Beckinsale and a character as beloved as her Selene and not use them to the max to promote a film would be madness. Because producers of “Underworld” are not mad, here's a fresh batch of movie stills.

“Underworld: Awakening” is out in January 2012 and will mark Beckinsale's return to the franchise she once said she'd left for good.

This time too, the world is at war but the enemy camps have changed: vampires, Lycans and humans are going at it for supremacy.

The unofficial synopsis now making the rounds online also says fans are to expect a surprise from Selene: a daughter, who is also pictured in one of the shots in the gallery above.

“Underworld: Awakening” will be released in 3D.
