The free service seems to work on Nseries devices as well

Following the official launch of Nokia's voice-guidance for Ovi Maps SatNav application as a free service at the beginning of the year, the Finnish company has just announced that two more of its smartphones have received the above mentioned upgrade. Nokia E71 and E66 are the next devices that get free navigation after more recent ones, such as E72, N97 mini and X6, which have been featuring the service since January. The company stated that Nokia E71 and E66 would be the last of its older mobile phones to include this upgrade. Nevertheless, it seems that every Nokia smartphone that will be launched in the future will come with free walk and drive navigation out of the box.

To take advantage of the free navigation with Ovi Maps on any of the two devices, users will need to do the following:

1. Download the new Ovi Maps application from nokia.com/maps to their PC 2. Install the application using Ovi Suite to their device 3. Go to applications folder and start using Ovi Maps.

With the help of Ovi Suite, users will be able to download the latest country maps onto their devices so they use offline map browsing alongside free navigation. Bear in mind that if you don't intend to install the Ovi Maps application, you will be prompted to pay the one-year navigation license of 9.99 EUR if you want to start using the drive and walk navigation feature.

Rumors say that the free service also works smoothly on all Nseries devices, such as Nokia N95, so any further improvements for additional Nokia phones is not really necessary. The update for Nokia E71 and E66 is now available from Nokia.com/maps, and, soon, also in Ovi Store.
