Photos leaked from users in the US or China, where the new Radeon 300 series have allegedly already hit retails, reveal the secrets of the "new" mid-specced series from AMD.

When uncovered, the new Radeon R9 390X series' PCB looks identical with the older 290X down the location of every SMT component and module, although the conductive polymer caps differ together with the 512 GBit GDDR5 chips present under the heatspreader, giving the card 8GB of memory.

Although the GPU has been rebranded, "Granada" is basically the same Hawaii with a new hat (read name). Most leaked photos contain graphics cards from XFX, Gygabite, MSI and Sapphire, and VideoCards.com posted some presentation photos with the new cards as well.

Starting with Gigabyte, we can see that the company is introducing six new 300 series cards, these being the R9 390X 8GB Gaming G1, R9 390 Gaming G1 8GB, R9 380 Gaming G1 4GB, R9 380 WindForce 2x OC 2GB, R7 370 WindForce 2x OC 2GB, and R7 360 OC 2GB.

New details abound

XFX already put cards on sale in retail, and the available ones are R9 390X 8GB DD, R9 390 8GB DD, R9 380 2GB DD, R7 370 2GB DD, and R7 360 2GB DD. Leaked photos of these cards' back ports show us one DVI-D, one DVI-I, one full-sized DisplayPort, and one HDMI connection. On the power delivery side, the R9 380 is equipped with two PCIE 6-pin power connectors, whereas the R7 360 is equipped with only one of the said connectors.

Leaks coming also from Asus show us the box design coming for Asus R9 380 and the R7 370. Apparently, it'll come equipped with the Strix 0db design that will allow the graphics card fan to be completely turned off when idling or when it is cool enough to reduce noise.

The official launching of the Radeon 300 series of graphics cards will be tomorrow, June 16, during the AMD E3 event. Also with the latest leaks of the Fury HBM graphics cards series, the latest reveals are probably meant to prepare the public to start digging in their wallets and buy the new products.
