Some more details on the long rumored Nexus S smartphone from Samsung have just emerged, unveiling some more info on the device itself, as well as on the day when we might see it put on display at Best Buy.

The Nexus S by Samsung is expected to land on shelves as the first handset to run under Google's upcoming Android Gingerbread operating system.

The Nexus S, or at least reference to it, was already spotted on Best Buy's website, suggesting that it should not be too long before the actual mobile phone is set to make an appearance on the market.

Following that brief leak, a series of photos with the device also made an appearance into the wild, along with info on an FCC approval received for the handset.

The said documentation was pointing at a handset that sports model number GT-19020T, and some more details on the specs list of this device emerged.

According to a leaked document that made an appearance over at Phandroid, the smartphone should come with support for EDGE/ GPRS/ HSUPA, being fit for use on T-Mobile's airwaves in the US.

At the same time, the leaked document, which mentions the Samsung Google Nexus S name, suggests that the handset should land on shelves with a 1500mAh battery inside, and that it would measure 4.9'' x 0.5'' x 2.5''.

The smartphone should arrive on shelves with built-in GPS receiver, a 5-megapixel photo snapper, email, messaging, MMS and Internet capabilities, as well as MP3 player. Previously, the handset was said to include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options too.

As for the phone's appearance at Best Buy, another document leaked into the wild from the retailer suggests that the first Nexus S units will be showcased starting with November 14th.

According to Android Police, while the Live Mock memo does show that the handset is getting an endcap on the November 14th planogram, there are great chances that there will actually be only dummy units put on display, and not the handset itself.

If the rumor indeed pans out, we might learn that the new device was announced officially in a matter of days. In the meantime, we'll take all this with a grain of salt.
