The Alcatel One Touch Fire S isn’t the only Firefox OS tablet to be showed off as a reference design at MWC 2014.Mozilla has introduced two new Firefox OS tablet designs which are currently in testing phases before they officially arrive on the market.
Meet the VIA Vixen 7-inch tablet which was developed in partnership with chip company VIA. The tablet comes with a 7-inch screen boasting a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution and draws power from a 1.2GHz VIA ARM Cortex-A9 dual-core processor fitted with Mali 400 graphics and 1GB of RAM.
More specs include 8GBof internal storage, dual cameras (2MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera), and 802.11n Wi-Fi.
The Foxconn InFocus 10-inch tablet reference design has been officially announced, even if the specs have been leaked in the past.
The tablet has a 10-inch screen with the same 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and draws power from an Allwinner A31 ARM Cortex-A7 quad-core CPU combined with PowerVR SGX544MP2 graphics, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
Furthermore, the slate has dual cameras (5MP on the back and 2MP in front) Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a powerful 7000 mAh battery.
