Ubisoft has once again confirmed that it's going to share quite a few new details about Far Cry 4, the next installment in the first-person shooter series, in the very near future, largely because of the success of Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

Ubisoft launched Far Cry 3 at the end of last year and surprised many gamers with the polished open world experience that not only offered lots of mechanics but also a great story with philosophical themes.

After the successful Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon experiment, Ubisoft's Tony Key told Gamespot that the publisher is really thrilled about the great Far Cry brand and that, " now it's got the recognition it deserves, so we're clearly going to make another one."

Key said that more details on the sequel will appear "soon," but declined to actually offer a release estimate.

Ubisoft could be preparing to announce something at Gamescom 2013 in August or at a later point in time.
