The EeePC brand has easily taken off when ASUS first released its Atom-powered netbooks. However, by the time the Eee Box entered the stage, consumers were already aware of the performances of Intel's low-power Atom platform. Still, this hasn't stopped ASUS from planning the release of some more Eee Box models, which is the case with the Eee Box B206 and the B208, both of which have been equipped with discrete graphics from ATI. On that note, it appears the manufacturer will continue on this road and will unveil some more Eee Box shipments, according to a recent report.

Dubbed Eee Box EB1002 and Eee Box EB1006, these new systems from ASUS have just been listed on the Energy Star website, confirming an upcoming release from the Taiwanese company. According to the listing, both systems have been designed on Intel's Atom platform and will be powered by the 1.66GHz Atom processor. The main difference between the two is that the latter will be equipped with a discrete graphics solution, featuring 128MB of non-shared memory.

Although no details have been yet made available, these systems could be part of ASUS' lineup at Computex, next week, by which time we should know more about their design, pricing and overall specifications. For the time being we do know that they will be equipped with 2GB of RAM and integrated a normal hard drive, with the EB1002 featuring 250GB of storage. There's also some information regarding the power requirements for both systems, with the EB1002 using between 1.320 and 1.416W in sleep mode and between 0.971 and 1.062W in standby mode, while the EB1006 features between 2.029 and 2.130W in sleep and 1.752 to 1.861W in standby.

These systems appear to integrate pretty much everything you'd expect from ASUS' Eee Box nettops, but it will be interesting to see which graphics solution has the company gone for with the EB1006 model.
