The first details on Sony Ericsson MT27i Pepper leaked about a month ago when everyone thought that the smartphone might be announced during the International Consumer Electronics Show.

The folks over at XperiaBlog have learned from sources close to the matter that the Xperia Pepper is a mid-end Android smartphone, which is considered to be Xperia neo V true successor.

The phone’s rumored specs sheet includes a 3.7-inch Reality capacitive touchscreen display, a 1 GHz dual core processor, as well as dual cameras.

More details on the upcoming Sony Ericsson MT27i Pepper have just been revealed by XperiaBlog, such as the Mali-400 MP graphics processing unit, which confirms that the smartphone will be delivered with ST-Ericsson’s NovaThor chipset.

The new information appears in a NenaMark benchmark, which also confirms the screen resolution (480 x 854 pixels) and the Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread operating system.
