During the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show, Gigabyte brought us a very first look at their upcoming line of overclocking oriented motherboards, and now, the company released yet another teaser image of the board for us all to enjoy.

The X58A-OC was designed with the help of HiCookie, a renowned professional overclocker, and is built especially for enthusiasts that don't require all the bells and whistles that are usually associated with top of the line motherboards.

Instead, Gigabyte decided to go for raw performance and overclocking headroom, designing a board that likes to play nice with extreme cooling solutions, such as liquid nitrogen.

This means that the area around the CPU has been cleared of any protrusions to make it more dry ice and LN2 pot friendly, Gigabyte also going for a matte black PCB, a feature that is highly regarded by professional overlockers as the water droplets caused by condensation are a lot easier to spot than on a light-colored board.

As for its feature set, not so many details are available at the time, but we do know the X58A-OC packs four PCI Express x16 slots, a regular PCI slot, on-board power, reset, and clear CMOS buttons, and is compatible with Intel's LGA 1366 processors.

In addition, the motherboard comes equipped with dual SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports, a pair of regular USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet network connectivity, three audio jacks and two PS/2 ports (a feature requested by pro overclockers).

The picture provided by the Gigabyte Tech Daily blog also shows us there is enough room to install four dual-slot graphics cards, an Nvidia nForce 200 chipset presumably offering quad-SLI support.

Sadly, these are all the details available for now as Gigabyte did not provide us with a release schedule or anything of the sort.

However, with LGA 2011 coming out in Q4 2011, Gigabyte should better hurry and get the X58A-OC to market ASAP if they don't want for it to become obsolete before its launch.
