Some more pieces of information in regard to what mobile phones are heading towards Verizon Wireless in the near future have recently emerged into the wild, mainly focused on the BlackBerry devices that the carrier will add to its offering in the near future, as well as on some details concerning what the said handsets will include, while also showing a possible Nokia phone that should come to its lineup in the near future.

The tidbits on the BlackBerry smartphones coming to Verizon this year show that all of the RIM handsets that the carrier will launch after the BlackBerry Tour are expected to include Wi-Fi capabilities. In addition, it seems that the operator will come to the market with the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 in the very near future, most likely in May or June.

At the same time, the device is expected to include an EV-DO Rev. 0 connectivity, a 2.0-megapixel photo snapper, 128 MB ROM, 64 MB RAM, a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 16GB of additional storage space, it weighs 3.5 ounces, while its battery is able to offer up to 220 minutes of talk time and up to 216 hours of stand-by time.

Another detail that has surfaced to the Web via BGR is that Storm 2’s screen does not include the same usability as SurePress, but it seems to work like a traditional capacitive touch-screen panel. In addition, we learn that the BlackBerry Tour will have a companion in the form of a BlackBerry Atlas, which should include Wi-Fi, though the Tour won't have it.

As for the Nokia device expected to head towards the carrier's lineup in the near future, it seems that FCC has just approved it, and that it comes as a swiveling handset. The device has been spotted as the Nokia model RM-526, and is reported to include a dual-band CDMA/EV-DO connectivity, as well as the Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, while running under the software version VN_2040T13_VZW_108. There are no exact details on when the phone will actually become available on Big Red, yet it is expected to be launched as soon as this summer.
