Nokia has a lot of great applications to offer to its users through the Nokia Store portal, and is offering some more suggestions for users interested in grabbing appealing software for their devices.

The Store is accessible both from Symbian and MeeGo devices, and the company is making sure that users of both platforms have an idea of the most popular apps for them.

The number of downloads in the Nokia Store has been growing lately, most probably fueled by the availability of more powerful devices.

The Symbian platform is expected to be shut down in the coming years, yet enthusiasts are still happy with their handsets, and are looking into getting the most out of them.

Since applications easily prove a great way to do so, Nokia Conversations is bringing to the spotlight some new apps that they could enjoy while on the go, some of which were suggested by users themselves.

Among these apps, we can count Vimeo, fMobi, Remote Control for PC, Gravity and CoverUp for Symbian (or Nokia Belle), as well as DreamRemote, cuteTube, ClipMan, Sports Tracker and ShakeLock for MeeGo devices.

Only Vimeo, which offers access to the popular video service, is available for free for Symbian, but that does not mean that people won’t receive a great experience from all these applications.

Through fMobi, users can easily update their Facebook statuses and engage in chats with friends, while Gravity allows them to easily connect to people they might know, offering support for Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, Google Reader and Flickr.

Remote Control for PC provides people with the option to control their PCs straight from the phone, while CoverUp was design to find and add artwork to albums on the device.

Any MeeGo smartphone can become a remote control for Linux-based set-top-boxes through DreamRemote, while the cuteTube application will bring videos from YouTube on the handset.

With ClipMan, copying and pasting text from a document to another works like a breeze, while ShakeLock is meant to replace the lock screen button with simple shakes of the device.

And there is also the aforementioned Sports Tracker app for MeeGo devices, available for free, which can prove a great companion to those users who like exercising.
