A Huawei touchscreen device as well

It seems that the third mobile phone maker that T-Mobile will get its Android handset from during the ongoing year is Motorola, as recently leaked shots of the carrier's roadmap suggest. The company announced not too long ago that it intended to release multiple Android devices in 2009 and that they would come from three of its partners, yet until now only HTC and Samsung were known to provide the operator with such phones.

The roadmap shots unveil now more of the puzzle that surfaced about two weeks ago into the wild, and we can see a Motorola Morrison handset slated for release onto the carrier's airwaves sometime in the fourth quarter of the year, running under the Android operating system, after learning about the Samsung Houdini and the G1 v2 Bigfoot from the same roadmap.

There are not too many details regarding the capabilities of the Motorola Morrison at the moment, yet the leaked screenshot from TmoToday shows that we should expect to see a sliding device coming to the carrier's offering, and that the handset will sport a QWERTY keyboard. The phone is expected to become available sometime during the holiday season, which means that we have plenty of time to learn more on it.

In the meantime, we should also note that there is another device expected to reach the US carrier while sporting the Android platform, namely a Huawei touchscreen phone, which means that there will be at least a number of five such phones that T-Mobile will launch in the near future, including the HTC Magic, Samsung Houdini, G1 v2 Bigfoot, Motorola Morrison and the Huawei device, though we cannot state for sure that they will all come during 2009.

For what it's worth, it seems that the wireless operator has big plans when it comes to Google's operating system, at least on the US market, where it probably tries to take the lead in the Android area. Hopefully, more details on the Motorola Morrison, as well as on the rest of the upcoming handsets will surface in the near future, so stay tuned to learn the news.
