Acer is determined not to involve itself in the tablet market and has already stated its intention to keep focusing on the netbook and notebook fronts. As such, it is not a surprise to find that the company has been focusing on notebooks. In fact, a few new TimelineX Series laptop models have recently been spotted. One of these products, namely the TimelineX 1830T, was initially revealed by a FCC filing, with its actual specs getting detailed a bit later. Now, three more models from the same lineup have made their appearance and are getting ready for the time when they first become available.

The three new notebooks that Acer is readying are the 13.3-inch TimelineX 3820T, the 14-inch TimelineX 4820T and the 15.6-inch TimelineX 5820T.

They are all powered by the Intel Calpella platform and, thus, come with Intel Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7 chips. One offer is based on the Intel Core i3-330M or i3-350M chip, which have clock speeds of either 2.12GHz or 2.26GHz.

Another configuration can be powered by an Intel Core i5-430M, i5-520M or i5-540M. These CPUs operate at 2.26GHz, 2.40GHz or 2.53GHz, respectively. Finally, the Core i7 option is represented by the Core i7-620M CPU, which has a clock speed of 2.66Ghz.

Regardless of the chip chosen for the configuration, the laptops can feature up to 8GB memory, a storage capacity of as much as 640GB, WiFi, 3G and optional Bluetooth 2.1+EDR. As for graphics capabilities, Acer is offering a number of Mobility Radeon cards, including the HD 5650 and the HD 5470. Unfortunately, there is no official information regarding the product pricing or availability, although rumors suggest that they should make their appearance by the end of March.

The battery life of the Acer TimelineX 3820T, 4820T and 5820T mobile PCs will supposedly reach up to 12 hours.
