Massimo Moratti is willing to step out of Inter Milan. He said in an interview, taken earlier today, that he is thinking about the possibility of selling the club to whoever wants to invest in it. Apparently, Moratti is not at all satisfied with his club's performance in the last period of time, especially since no "scudetto" has been added to Inter`s
trophy gallery in the last 17 years.
Since he took over in 1995, Inter didn't manage to win the Italian Series A. The club's best performances were winning the UEFA Cup in 1998, Italian Cup and SuperCup in 2005. "If there is someone who is convinced that he could do better than me and wants to invest in Inter, why would I be against that?", Moratti said in a "Gazzetta dello Sport" interview.
He also said that he knew everything about Inter when he first invested in the club and he didn't do that with the "thought of staying" here forever. "It is only normal that I'm thinking about selling the club. What is bought, is also for sale!", he concluded.
The news comes out at the anniversary of 11 years spent at the club. Many say that he took this decision based on the early elimination from the UEFA Champions League "quarters" against Spanish side Villareal. However, the fans ask for Moratti`s caution when finding a buyer, since they don't want their team to become an Italian "Chelsea".
