Mophie has introduced a one-of-a-kind battery pack for owners of an iPod touch. The new 'Juice Pack' offers up to 24 hours of extra audio playback and 7 more hours of video playback, while the pack itself also acts as a protective case for your iPod
touch.

Aside from extending the time that you can use your iPod touch to view videos, listen to music or play games, you can sync with iTunes without disconnecting your Juice Pack, as it ships with its own USB cable. The Juice Pack is a rechargeable lithium polymer battery in the form of a non-slip, soft grip case.

"Mophie is a powerhouse of creative energy," the company states on its website. "We believe that good design can and does make life better. We constantly strive to create products that are innovative, useful and bring delight to the user. We identify, develop and execute concepts that will benefit the world. There is always a way to make it better. The products we make, the company we create and the members of our team can always be better."

But since extra juice isn't the only important aspect when it comes to accessories such as this, Mophie was also careful to

craft out a stylish Juice Pack for the iPod touch. The device sports a rubberized, soft-touch finish that offers a secure and conformable grip on the go. With the Juice Pack you get both more playback time and protection.

"We know that the sum can be greater than its parts. With the recent combination of two creative companies, mStation and mophie, we have achieved success and innovation that would otherwise have been impossible," the company reveals. "We have forged our partnership into a company that refuses to compromise standards of form, function or service."

The Juice Pack for iPod Touch is priced at $99.95 and is already available for Pre-Order. The estimated shipping date is in early August, according to Mophie.

I have an iPod Touch gen2. I purchased the Juice Pack and was pleased when I got it, until I attached it. The Touch 2 has an internal speaker which is disabled when you plug in you ear buds. The speaker is also disabled when you attach the Juice Pack. Therefor you have to use your ear buds when playing games. Mophie mentions nothing of this anywhere in the instructions or on their site.
