Fans of the Monster Hunter franchise will be pleased to know that they will soon be able to play their favorite games on iOS platform. Publisher Capcom has just confirmed that Monster Hunter Freedom Unite will be available on iOS devices sometime this summer.

This was one of the most popular PSP titles several years ago and Capcom is now bringing it to iOS devices. The upcoming title is based on Japan's Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G and originally released in 2009 in the west.

However, the new version of the game has been improved with various enhancements. First of all, several features have been added such as: higher HD resolution graphics, touch screen optimization controls, target camera options and support for MFi controllers.

In addition, the developers have confirmed that the game should feature “seamless co-op multiplayer quests via Wi-Fi connection for up to four hunters.”

During multiplayer sessions, players will need to pay attention to both strategy and execution when attacking monsters. Obviously, they will need to work together to be successful in hunting down some of the most ferocious beasts and progress through the game’s quests.

According to the developers, “players will be rewarded for their use of deep fighting combat systems, encouraging them to seek out the more experienced hunters and team up in order to learn from their expertise.”

While no details on the exact release date have been shared by Capcom, we expect more info to be unveiled next week during E3, so stay tuned for more.
