Video game publisher Capcom announces that it has plans to launch Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on all Western markets on the Nintendo 3DS handheld at some point in early 2015, with a lot of more content dedicated to long-term fans of the series.

The company explains, "In typical Monster Hunter fashion, you can expect to see a number of returning older monsters, but also a great selection of new threats to challenge you in unique ways. And just wait until we have more info for you on the new mechanics, weapons and things you can do in this game!"

Capcom is also presenting a reveal video for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, which offers details on some of the mechanics that fans will be able to experience in 2015.

The series has been one of the best selling of all times in Japan, but it has not managed to find the same level of success on Western markets.
