Video game publisher Capcom announces that it is delaying its much-awaited Monster Hunter 4 in order to raise the overall quality of the game experience.

According to Gematsu, the company says that it will not be launching the game before the end of March 2013, with a summer date for the Japanese market.

Monster Hunter 4 is one of the biggest coming launches for Capcom and the company bases much of its success in 2013 on it.

Capcom also says that it has failed to sell as many copies of Resident Evil 6 as it expected at the start of 2012.

The publisher says, “Sales of the major new title Resident Evil 6 were initially strong, but subsequently weakened. As a result, sales for this title are certain to fall short of the plan.”
