The Capcom studio in charge of the Ultimate version of Monster Hunter 3 will include new enemies designed specifically to give the most experienced players a tough time, called the Volvidon and the Lagombi.

The official Capcom Unity blog offers details on both the new creatures.

The Lagombi is classed as a fanged beast living in tundra area covered with snow, with a smooth shell on its belly which allows it to slide around at high speeds.

It is best fought using drinks that regenerate stamina and sonic bombs.

The Volvidon lives in volcanic areas and has rock-like scales that make it hard to deliver damage.

Players will have to use cold drinks to defeat it while also dodging its paralyzing attacks.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is set to arrive on the 3DS handheld and the Wii U during March.
