Zabbix, an enterprise-class open-source distributed monitoring solution released under the GPL (free of charge for both commercial and non-commercial use), has finally reached version 2.2.5.

The Zabbix monitoring solution has been separated into multiple branches, and this is the most advanced one that you can find. The developers actually maintain numerous other stable versions as well, but if you want the most features, this is what you need to get.

According to the changelog, an XXE vulnerability that occurred on XML import when using obsolete libxml versions has been fixed, the escalator no longer gives false 'no media defined' errors, the server's timer processes title line has been changed in order to display the amount of hosts that have changed maintenance status, the disk space reporting for large AIX file systems (bigger than 16 TB) has been fixed, and a few misspelled "template" variables in API have been corrected.

Also, vfs.file.regexp, vfs.file.regmatch, and web.page.regexp have been fixed and are now able to handle carriage returns properly, the widget "History of events" and frontend messaging have been repaired, and the period in caption for the "Distribution of values for multiple periods" bar report has been removed.

A complete list of changes can be found in the official changelog. You can download Zabbix 2.2.5 right now from Softpedia.
