After all the high-end monitors I've covered, having a low-end model with a couple of peculiar quirks is an almost nice and refreshing change.
Said monitor is the I-O Data LCD-AD172SEW-P, a 17-inch display featuring a 1000:1 contrast ratio and a response time of 5 ms.
More importantly, it has a native resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels (4:3 aspect ratio).
Other specs include VGA and DVI inputs, two 1W speakers and the Eco-keeper function, which lowers brightness when the user is not nearby.
As for the quirks, they are the low-reflective screen coating (fingerprint and scratch resistant) and the reduction in blue light by up to 60% (reduced eye strain).
Sales of the 17-inch I-O Data LCD-AD172SEW-P monitor will start in early December, for an unknown price.
