Just the other day, authorities in Oklahoma, US, found about $30,000 (€27,300) worth of meth stashed inside an otherwise innocent-looking Easter Bunny. As it turns out, it's not just rabbit-shaped dolls that go haywire and turn illegal around this time of the year.

Long story short, a woman in Oregon claims to have found three bags of pot hidden inside a packaged toy that she got from a Walmart store and that was meant as an Easter present for her young daughter. Needless to say, it was the police that got the present instead.

The woman had no idea the toy came complete with weed

It is understood that the woman, identified as Christina Marie Hannahs, bought the Vtech Smart Shots Sport Center toy from a Walmart store in the city of Newport about a week before Easter.

The toy didn't look like it had been tampered with, and so the woman never even suspected that the package might contain anything other than what it said on the label.

Come Easter, the woman offered her daughter the toy and sat next to her to help her unwrap it and pull it out of the box it came in. Much to her surprise, Christina realized that some pieces were missing.

She had the shock of a lifetime when she figured out that the pieces had purposely been removed from the box so that three bags of marijuana could be stuffed in their place.

“I was shocked, at first I was like, I kind of laughed and was like, 'Oh my gosh, I cannot believe this even came out of there,'” Christina explained in an interview, as cited by KATU-TV.

The police hope they will soon find whom the weed belongs to

Having found the three bags of pot hidden inside the Vtech Smart Shots Sports Center toy meant for her daughter, the woman immediately alerted authorities. An investigation into this incident is ongoing and police officers hope to soon identify the weed's rightful owner.

“We are actively reviewing this matter and will work with the customer and local authorities to determine what happened,” said Aaron Mullins, senior manager with Walmart Media Relations.

It's safe to assume that, just like the meth-stuffed Easter Bunny doll in Oklahoma was supposed to reach a very precise destination, so was this packaged toy that Christina unknowingly bought for her daughter intended for one very special Walmart customer.
