A mom from the town of Rapid City in South Dakota says that her kids will not be raised as to not be able to deal with the real world. She slams political correctness and anti-bullying campaigns.

Stephanie Metz believes that shielding children from bullying and rewarding them for just entering competitions, without winning them, does not prepare them to be better adults.

“The mentality of our society in 2013 is nauseating to me, friends,” Metz writes, also focusing on bullying at school.

“How long will it be before their typical boy-ish behavior gets them suspended from school? Kids are being raised to never have to deal with adversity. [...] I don’t think we are raising a generation that will be able to function in the real world,” she tells ABC News.

The 29-year-old mom's blog, “Why My Kids Are NOT The Center Of My World,” has gained thousands of followers.

Her posts have been read over 750,000 hits, which increases to two million after counting shares on other sites.

“Understand I am not condoning kids to be cruel to each other, but I think kids need to toughen up when kids are not nice to them,” Metz defends her statements.

“Society is constantly coddling your kids,” she says.

She first started keeping a blog when her son said that he couldn't bring a toy that barely resembles a gun to school, because he would get in trouble.

She wrote that children should be allowed with guns, and many parents do not agree with her standpoint.

“I think a lot of people have kids and raising kids is never easy. There are many viewpoints, but I think a lot of people agreed with what I said and they just want to share my post,” she says.
