14 DAY TRIAL // Peter Molyneux, the current leader of 22 Cans and former creative director at Microsoft Game Studios, believes that the Xbox 720, which is set for a big reveal tonight, is less exciting than the previous hardware from the company.
He is quoted by Gamespot as saying that, “Back then, the 360 represented a huge leap forward in gaming, with a tangible increase in performance and fantastic multiplayer support. Gamers and game-makers were justifiably super-excited.”
Molyneux believes that the gaming world has changed and that gaming consoles, including the Xbox 720 and the PlayStation 4 from Sony, must face a strong challenge from mobile devices.
The developer believes that, at the moment, Microsoft is competing with Apple, Google and Samsung.
Molyneux is presently working on Project Godus, which is expected to arrive on the PC.
