Modern Warfare 2 Cheats Are Already Available

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 hasn't even been picked up from the shelves properly, and some of Infinity Ward's new ideas for the game's multiplayer have already been torn to pieces. One of the things that IW used as an argument when it removed the dedicated servers and force-pushed IWNet into the game was that players wouldn't have to put up with cheaters anymore. According to it, its servers, which should be equipped with Valve Anti-Cheat, VAC for short, since they made use of Steamworks, would have an easier time getting rid of those that cheated the trained eye of the admin of a dedicated server.

Well, the game wasn't even available on Steam yet when the first Modern Warfare 2 cheats became available. A site that deals specifically with Call of Duty cheats has released a video showcasing its latest masterpiece. The video clearly displays a more delicate version of wallhack that simply highlights and color-boxes players on the map according to the team they're playing on. It also shows what appears to be some “no-recoil” hack for the machine-gun and possibly some aim, though the last one isn't really obvious, and it could just be that the guy in the video knows how to shoot. The reason we're being suspicious is because of the other, more obvious cheats.

Less than a day is definitely something to shame Infinity Ward and its cheat-proof solution of removing dedicated servers, but VAC doesn't have any reason to show its face in public either. VAC is also used by Steam to regulate ConterStrike 1.6 and CounterStrike: Source, and anyone that had even a remote brush with the game will know just how plagued with “repeat offenders” the servers are.

Modern Warfare 2 for the PC had already been cut down at the knees and left to crawl around in the desert, but if there was some hope the IWNet would do some good, it all just got washed away. And, if Infinity Wards decides to fix these problems with a priced DLC, it can expect an insurrection in its headquarters and the lynching of whomever is in charge with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

The whole IW.net idea isn't to stop cheats beacause you plain can't especially using just some downloadable client. The whole IW issues Stinks with MONEY saving.

They just port the console version and do not add in or unlock a console. Text chat only available in game not in lobby.

no dedicated servers. Lack of PC mod tools and support. They have just saved money in the development of a PC interface and instead of easily adding dedicated servers which can host alot larger matches they LIE and say the peer 2 peer is to make it easier for first time players.

Well, i'm glad i got to spend one day playing without someone using cheats. Time to shelf the game now, unless of course something is done about it. Hard to show sarcasm in text.

I have to say its an amazing game, but damit why did thay remove the servers, im sure its more to do with the pirecy of the game apose to cheats.
without a server that can be hacked to alow cracked copys to play on then now one can play online without a real copy.
but why couldnt thay atleast use a real anti cheat system and atleast alow us to chose who we play with maby an option to not play in the same server as some on again,
cos we cant kick or vote to kick which is rubish

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is horrible to play online. I cant get over how many cheaters get away with playing this game. Worse 60 bucks ive ever spent, and wont ever plan on buying another game that is affiliated with steam or infinity ward.
