Modder Turns Sony Vaio F Into Steampunk Notebook

We now have a new and unique laptop to gush over, one dubbed “eCog Mercury” and made by modder John Dunn.

Then again, this is not so much a new laptop as it is a Sony Vaio F with a very unusual casing.

Made of brass and wood, the case evokes what is known as the “Steampunk” style.

The casing is made of birch plywood, pine wood, brass, and copper and sells for around $1,250 (967 Euro).

The price includes the case and Dunn's services (he will clothe a Sony Vaio F into it, provided you have one).

If anyone is interested in this thing and don't mind that it will be something of a pain to get the notebook repaired if it becomes defected later on, here is where they should go.
