Moblyng Games announced recently the release of m:Mafia, the first mobile game for the Google Android operating system that brings “pinky rings and cement boots” to the platform's users. The social game publisher also announced that m:Mafia was a cross-platform multi-player role-playing game that not only plunged users into the mafia world, but also allowed for an almost unlimited number of players to form crews, no matter the platform they ran, offering compatibility with several smartphones, and with Facebook as well. The crews can provide for the family, and also put a hit on those who stand in their way.

“With the release of m:Mafia on Android and other platforms, Moblyng Games just went from being a wise guy to the new boss of the social gaming family,” said Stewart Putney, CEO and founder, Moblyng Games. “Crime family games are extremely popular with social gamers, and we are excited to be the first publisher to bring the mafia entertainment experience to Android users. Now social gamers across Android, iPhone, Facebook, and other platforms can connect and play with more of their friends than ever before.”

The proprietary software from Moblyng Games enables an easy porting of social games across numerous platforms, while also allowing users to invite their friends to play via a wide range of networks and devices. The new release of m:Mafia also diversifies the suite of titles that Moblyng Games offers, which also includes Dungeon Quest and Poker Dice. More details on the company's offering can be found on its website.

The new m:Mafia comes to the market as a mafia role-playing game that allows mobile phone users to enter the underworld as they try to level up their characters by performing different jobs with their friends or against other players. Users can invite contacts from a variety of platforms to the game, and they can compete against them or collaborate to build their notoriety. The game is available for free, yet the game experience can be enhanced by buying in-game currency, known as “favors.”
