With a retail price of $80, the Mobius is also capable of preventing the iPhone’s back-glass from being scratched.
Fitted with a high-efficiency monocrystal solar panel, Mobius needs only one hour in the sun to provide an additional 25 minutes of talk time for the device that otherwise runs out of juice quite fast.
That one hour of solar charging is also sufficient for 20 minutes of internet use, 35 minutes of video playback and more than two hours of audio playback.
However, if you happen to be out of the sun’s reach, the manufacturer says that Mobius can also be charged via the included Micro-USB cable and will also sync with iTunes, for an added peace of mind.
Moreover, once the battery has been re-charged, the user is in control as to when the extra battery power is used. There is also a standby switch available to turn off direct power transfer to the iPhone 4, allowing the case to charge and store energy in its own battery – only using the power when you need it.
The battery also case is fitted with both a battery charge and solar charge indicator, showing users the power levels of the battery and when the solar panel is at work, respectively.
