Mobiola Web Camera is a very useful software which does just what you'd expect it to: it enables you to use your camera phone as a Web Cam. The advantages that this feature brings might turn out to be different for each user, depending on how much he or she actually needs a WebCam.

A great number of features have been added to mobile phones, most of them with little actual use. Mobiola Web Camera might just turn out to be among the useful ones. Basic requirements for this application only need a Symbian-enabled phone model. All that the users have to do is to download the software on their cellulars and start broadcasting.

Mobiola Web Camera was connected to the PC through Bluetooth, as the phone sent images to the PC wirelessly. Now, in the second version of the software, USB connectivity is included, which considerably increases the image transfer rate. Another interesting function that this new version brings is that of Screen Capture, which allows the user to take instant shots from those which are broadcasted.

This software is made of two components: a client application which resides on the mobile phone and a webcam PC driver compatible with any windows application that can connect to a regular web camera.

Mobiola Web Camera is available for download for the price of USD16. Moreover, the version 2 update will cost an additional USD 25. Come to think of it, whoever chooses this software in order to transform his mobile phone into a fully functional Web Camera should have a mobile handset with highly evolved image rendering capabilities, as to make it worth the money. Otherwise, it might turn out to be more profitable just to buy a regular camera capable of average performances. Moreover, producers specified that this application does not support Windows Vista connections.
