MobileMe users getting transitioned to iCloud today are on track to get Apple’s 20GB iCloud storage plan until June 30, 2012 at no additional charge. iCloud comes with a standard free 5GB of storage that adds up to that.

Apple has confirmed that iCloud users will have three plans to choose from - a free 5GB plan; one for 20GB (plus the free 5GB) at $40 (around 29 EUR) a year, and one for 50GB (plus the free 5GB) that goes for $100 (around 70 EUR).

Described by Apple as a breakthrough set of free cloud services, iCloud has already gone live. Apple customers will require iOS 5 and / or Mac OS X 10.7.2 to use it.

iCloud services include: iTunes in the Cloud; Photo Stream; Documents in the Cloud; App Store and iBookstore purchase history; iCloud Backup; integration with Contacts, Calendar and Mail; Find My iPhone; and Find My Friends.
