MobileApps.com has recently announced that it will pay 95% of the payouts, instead of the industry standard 70% offered by other application markets such as Android Market and Apple's App Store.

Expected to be launched soon, MobileApps.com is a wholesale marketplace that is trying to monetize its business solely through advertising.

Apparently, MobileApps.com will provide facilities such as payment processing, marketing and downloads for app developers without charging any setup fees or monthly fees.

According to the company, the only fee charged is 5% of the download price, from which 3.95% goes to the company's payment processing bank, while 1.05% is kept for administrative charges. The rest goes to the app developer.

“Ultimately, our highest intent is to be portrayed as the Robin Hood of app developers that truly champions their interests. By taking care of the needs of app developers, they now get to focus on what they do best: building better apps and providing better customer service,” says Alvin Koay, the CEO and founder of the start-up.

“We help developers in many ways. We pay the highest payouts we can and provide the best facilities such as app discovery solutions, payment infrastructure, negotiations with carriers for bulk carrier-billing rates, etc. We strive to discover gaps in the present app store markets and fulfil them to the benefits of app developers,” added Alvin Koay.

MobileApps.com plans to expose apps to consumers through widgets called “Smart Widgets” that will showcase apps from every category, country or platform that it was initially created for.

For example, an app for finding restaurants in India will be featured only in sites from India, under the “Lifestyle” category and so on.

Currently, the MobileApps.com marketplace is closed under private beta, but app developers are invited to build their app profiles in MobileApps.com.
