Since it has signed a deal with Sky TV from United Kingdom to provide its users with mobile TV content, Vodafone has been searching for a handset that is capable of such tasks and, as the word goes, the lucky phone going to deliver the Vodafone customers the long waited live television is the LG KU950. Although information about this device are very scarce, the front camera that shows up above the keyboard hidden under the tilting 2.4 inch display clearly proves this is going to be a 3G enabled cell phone.

As some of you already know, the two companies, Vodafone and Sky TV, have joined their forces to be able to offer the users access to a mobile TV experience of extraordinary quality. The TV stations going to be broadcasted are SKY TG24, SKY Sport 24, FOX One, Deejay TV and FX, TV channels that are also going to cover almost every area of interest and will make every KU950 owner stick to its handset wherever he may be.

Also, as far as I know until now, the TV will arrive on the KU950 handset through the DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcasting - Handheld) technology the direct competitor for the DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) standard. DVB-H is the technology that has adapted the DVB-T system used for digital terrestrial television so it can be used to deliver TV signal to handhelds and other battery-powered receivers.

The LG mobile phone that will provide its future users with a direct connection to the mobile TV world all cell phone users have wished for so long is going to have a tag price of 99 ? for the people that are ready to give up their mobile freedom and wish to sign a contract with the carrier. This way, the mobile TV craze will take over Europe as it has already did with almost of all Asia, and if you don't want to catch the virus, you'd better go stateside as long as it is still safe.
