The MacBook Pro was especially designed by Apple to represent a professional alternative for the Mac fans because it is available in two powerful flavors: a 15.4 inch model and a 17 inch computer, both equipped with 2.16/2.33 Ghz 64-bit Intel Core 2 Duo. Although the price starts from $1999, the MacBook Pro is quite popular among the Mac fans looking for a powerful and portable Apple solution. Today, MacNN announced that Verizon, the mobile carrier, released the V740 ExpressCard, a special adapter built to connect the Apple computers to the Internet using high speed services.

"Verizon today launched the V740 ExpressCard, a Novatel-made adapter that links any current notebook -- including Apple's MacBook Pro -- with an ExpressCard 34 or 54 slot to Verizon's mobile internet network. The new card enables notebook owners to utilize the mobile carrier's recently launched EVDO Revision," the publication reported.

The connection between Verizon's solution and the MacBook Pro computer provides quite a high quality because it allows 800kbps download and 400kbps uploads. MacNN reported that Verizon is already selling the card for $180 but other online shops are now allowing pre-ordering.

If you didn't know, Verizon's EVDO (also known as Evolution-Data Optimized) represents a wireless radio interface, allowing mobile phone service providers to create high speed connections between mobile phones and other portal devices. At this time, the EVDO technology provided by Verizon is used by more than 200 million people in 242 Major Metropolitan Areas as Wikipedia sustains. Using this innovative technology, Verizon plans to boost the number of the users among the Mac fans by allowing them to use EVDO for the professional MacBook Pro solution.
