Without a doubt, Intel's Sandy Bridge CPUs represent one of the hottest topics in the world of IT nowadays, just about everyone waiting for their official launch at CES 2011, but until then, we're already starting to see these next-gen processors popping up in all sorts of locations, including here some notebooks.

Quite obviously, what we're talking about here are mobile Sandy Bridge CPUs, which will apparently come in even a wider variety than their desktop counterparts that we've already detailed within one of our previous articles.

Anyway, as Laptoping points out, it seems that Core i7-2630QM, a quad-core 2GHz processor from the Sandy Bridge lineage, has made its appearance (albeit an unofficial one) within some notebook models from Acer (Aspire 5750), Gateway, Lenovo (IdeaPad Y560P) and HP (XE378EA - HP Pavilion dv7-5000ea Entertainment Notebook PC).

And since we're talking about some of the world's best-known notebook manufacturers here, it's quite likely that the rest also have some Sandy Bridge models waiting in the pipeline.

Another interesting detail worth mentioning about these leaked products is that some of them are accompanied by Mobility Radeon HD 6550 or 6570 graphics, of which relatively little is known to date, but which should probably make an official appeareance roughly in the same time frame as the Sandy Bridge platform.

Also, it's quite curious that, while it is widely believed that the notebooks powered by Sandy Bridge CPUs will be accompanied by the HM65 chipset (a part of Intel's future Huron River platform), and the Gateway machine actually lists this component, other systems (such as the ones from Acer and HP) still rely on the Intel HM55 chipset.

Of course, these are just some preliminary leaks, but they do prove the manufacturers' commitment for the future platform, so we're expecting plenty of notebooks based on Intel's latest platform to make an appearance during and post-CES 2011.
