14 DAY TRIAL // Canadian luxury phone maker Mobiado announced the introduction of its second device added to the Mechanical Watch Mobile Phone Series, the 105GMT WHITE, which gets the pure, contemporary approach of the brand to new heights.
The new device has been developed as the combination between an exquisite mechanical watch and a luxury mobile phone, and it includes this way both a tradition in watchmaking and the latest mobile phone technologies. The 105GMT WHITE is able to offer a technical and highly exclusive concept design, being the expression of both mechanical perfection and the mastering of aesthetic details.
Mobiado's newest release comes with a front and back entirely crafted from large pieces of sapphire crystal, and it seems that it’s not only the looks that are modern, as it also comes with a resistance outpaced only by diamond. In addition, the battery cover is also made out of a large piece of sapphire crystal, while the hidden sliding battery cover mechanism is uniquely designed.
The 105GMT WHITE has been assembled with titanium screws, and it features sapphires for buttons, which are hand painted in silver, the result being a front surface made from sapphire crystal only. The silver keypad disappears and becomes illuminated when the keypad lights up, offering an impressive effect when in low-light conditions.
Combining traditional with modern, the 105GMT WHITE also includes a unique dual mechanical watch movement, offering users the possibility to set up two international time zones, while the electronic phone would display the local time. Each of the Swiss mechanical watch movements comes with 25 jeweled bearings, makes 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers 28 hours of power reserve, and we have to mention that we’re talking about a self-winding automatic mechanism.
Mobiado attached each movement with an exclusive 3D shock absorbing system so that the device can be used in everyday conditions. Both movements are illuminated when the keypad lights up. At the same time, the front and the back of the watch movement are completely open, so that the details of the watch mechanism are fully visible. On total, the 105GMT WHITE comes with 274 Carats of sapphire crystal.
In addition to these features, the handset also brings usual phone capabilities, including a 2-megapixel camera and video camera, a 2-inch display, more than 1 GB of internal memory, Bluetooth and micro USB connectivity, as well as a music player with support for AAC, eAAC+, and MP3 audio formats.
The 105GMT WHITE comes unlocked and provides support for quad-band GSM/EGSM and dual-band WCDMA, being able to work in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific and South America on any GSM/EGSM 850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA 850/2100 network. More information can be found on the company's site.
