Mixing up money and videos on MSN, Microsoft has announced a new partnership that will only help with the growth of its portfolio of streaming video sources. In this regard, the Redmond company and Morningstar have inked an agreement that will bring additional financial information to MSN Money. Morningstar will join the current Microsoft partners binging video content to MSN Money on various money-related topics. Of course, MSN users are already familiar with materials delivered by Morningstar, but Microsoft has simply kicked it up a notch.

"For more than a decade, Morningstar has been providing investment data and editorial content to MSN Money in the United States and international markets. The addition of video content is a natural extension of our relationship and allows us to further leverage the knowledge and rigor of our stock and fund analyst team. With more than 12 million unique viewers monthly, the MSN Money Web site allows us to bring our practical insights and unique long-term approach to investment analysis to a broad audience of investors," stated Joe Mansueto, chairman and chief executive officer of Morningstar.

The videos from Morningstar will be focused on independent investment research. New content, centered around stock and fund analysis will make its way to MSN Money. The financial information coming via video fragments will cover a wide range of topics from interviews to reports related to stocks and funds and to analyst commentary.

"The collaboration with Morningstar enhances the array of financial tools available on MSN Money that enable users to make smarter financial decisions. Morningstar has some of the most respected and insightful analysts around. We are delighted to add their top-notch video content to our expanding collection of streaming video on MSN Money because it is consistent with our goal of providing users with the best personal finance and investing content available today", added Jeff Dossett, executive producer and general manager of MSN at Microsoft.
