As the new installment in the “Mission: Impossible” franchise is set to begin production, there are more and more rumors regarding the action. The latest gossip from insiders claims that the spy movie is headed to London to shoot some critical action scenes starring Tom Cruise himself.

Several local media sources, such as The Sun are saying that the fifth “Mission: Impossible” movie is going to be shooting some scenes in London before moving out to Tenerife for the rest of the project.

The paper alleges that most of the film is going to be shot in the Canary Islands, but that before the team head on out to the exotic location, off Africa's Western coast, they will be first shooting in London.

“A few items are set to be filmed around London, including a motorbike chase down The Mall, followed by a boat chase scene along The Thames,” says a knowledgeable insider. If we're to believe these rumors, the 51-year-old Tom Cruise is going to be doing some stunt man work around famous London landmarks in the near future, as he reprises his role of agent Ethan Hunt.

Apart from the London scenes, the source alleges there will some additional shots on location in the Emirates, “they are also going to do some work around the Emirates Cable Cars.”

Apart from Tom Cruise, who will be the star attraction of the movie, Simon Pegg and Jeremy Renner are also said to be making a comeback in the sequel, while the lead female part is said to be going out to Jessica Chastain, who will be “Cruise's right hand woman,” according to reports.
