She's gorgeous, she's talented and has a very generous heart: Miss Venezuela Ivian Lunasol Sarcos Colmenares is an orphan and was educated in a nunnery - and she's just been crowned Miss World 2011 in London.

Colmenares beat contestants from over 110 countries to the much coveted titles, showing the jury she was best in categories that ranged from the traditional (and ever so popular) swimsuit competition to the one called “beauty with a purpose.”

The latter had the contestants prove their involvement with a charity organization. The competition also included categories like talent, beach beauty, sports and top model, the Daily Mail informs.

Clearly, Colmenares stood out in all of them.

An orphan from an early age, the stunner was raised and educated in a nunnery, dreaming she would, one day, become a nun herself.

Later in life, she got a degree in human resources and a job with a broadcasting company, which is how she came to consider taking part in beauty pageants.

She is now Miss World 2011 and she plans to win her title to help others who are in difficult situations.

“Winning means everything to me and I hope to take advantage of being a winner in a productive manner. I’m unbelievably happy to have won and there are some incredible girls,” Colmenares said, as cited by the Mail.

“I first and foremost want to help people in need. I would like to help people like me. I am an orphan. I would also like to help the elderly and troubled teenagers. As many people as I can,” the beauty queen added.

“Unfortunately I lost both my parents at a very young age which led me to study for five years in a nunnery. I spent my five years in there and my dream was to become a nun,” she said of her own troubled life.
