14 DAY TRIAL // Miss Rhode Island and Miss USA Olivia Culpo was crowned Miss Universe 2012 at the ceremony held the other night in Las Vegas. Miss Venezuela Sofia Esser Quintero made it in the top finalists but will perhaps be best remembered by her hilarious speech.

Sofia was asked what law she’d make if she had such a possibility and why. Her reply was nothing short of hilarious.
“I think that any leys are in Constitution or in life are already made I think that we should have, uh, a straight way to go in our similar or, eh, in our lives as is this. For example I am a surfer and I think that the best way I can take is the wave I wait for it. So please? Do our only, eh, law that we can do. Thank you, Vegas!”
While Sofia gets credit for waving the option to respond in her native tongue, she gets none for not being able to get her thoughts across in her reply.
Perhaps she was nervous but, being a beauty queen, shouldn’t she be used to this already? She’s gorgeous, though.
