Today, when she was supposed to be celebrating her twenty first birthday with a fancy double party, Kentucky-born Tara Conner is probably on her way home, after being evacuated from the Trump Place apartment where she resided (like the other Miss USAs) until now.
Last week, the pageant committee announced that, due to some 'behavioral and personal' issues, they would be investigating Tara's case and later come to a decision on whether she is still fit to wear the crown and complete her duties as Miss USA. At the time, it was said that her hard partying was getting in the way of her fulfilling her responsibilities and that she had been repeatedly spotted drinking in New York, despite being underage.
Donald Trump, who co-owns the beauty pageant with NBC, refrained from making any comment that might sully Conner's image even more, but he did admit that the situation with her was as such that needed an urgent solution. According to the latest reports from the media, Trump said one thing and did another, as the Miss is already out of Trump Place and on her way home.
A doorman at the building had this to say when media representatives queried him about Conner: 'She does not live here anymore. She is not allowed anywhere on Trump property. She is certainly not allowed to come back. I don't think it was her choice, really'. This led many to believe that she is already on her way home, that she has been dethroned and that runner-up, Miss California Tamiko Nash, is set to replace her.
Along with the news that Conner is no longer living in the place that was especially designed to accommodate official beauty queens comes the rumor that she has been asked by the pageant committee to submit herself to drug tests and undergo rehab. Sources describe her as a young girl out of control, who had sex to feed off her addictions and who, quote, 'makes Paris Hilton look like a baby'.
The committee's decision on whether Tara can still keep her Miss USA title and all that it implies is yet to be made public.
