Miss New York Mallory Hagan Is Miss America 2013

Miss New York, Mallory Hagan, a 23-year-old stunning blonde, is the new Miss America for the year 2013. Above is a video of the exact moment when she was crowned Miss America 2013 at Sunday’s ceremony.

Hagan beat Miss South Carolina Ali Rogers and Miss Oklahoma Alicia Clifton for the title, and is eager to get to work as Miss America.

She’s also planning to use her scholarship money to further her education: after graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology, she’s looking to get a degree in cosmetics and fragrance marketing.

“Sandy may have swept away our shores, but never our spirit. I’m Miss New York, Mallory Hagan,” she said by means of an introduction for herself.

In the final round of the Las Vegas beauty pageant, Hagan had to answer a question about whether armed guards should be placed in schools to prevent tragedies like Sandy Hook.

The stunner said she did not believe people should fight violence with violence, because violence could never be the answer.
